Easy Easter Floral DIY

It’s Spring timeeeee! And you know what that means… Beautiful flowers, fresh fruits, and new beginnings by resetting from Winter. Spending time outside on the first sunny and warm days of the year feels like such a sigh of relief. And, it’s also time to think about Easter!

With Easter, comes gatherings, colored eggs and bunnies as they represent rebirth, and happy decor. I mean, what’s not to love about this season?!

I was inspired to create a unique and budget-friendly floral bouquet for my dining table for Easter and it got me thinking about different bouquets than I have done before. Hmmm, let’s think… We love carrots during Easter time… And carrots love to be stored in water… So why not place carrots in the same water as the flowers?!

Just look at how gorgeous this turned out.

Here’s what you need to do to make the same bouquet

  1. Get some carrots from your local grocery store. They can be with or without green tops! I love the way green top carrots add more greenery to a bouquet, but it can also depend on your preference or the type of flowers you purchase.

  2. Buy some beautiful flowers! Trader Joe’s always has an amazing selection of budget-friendly fresh flowers, so I love to go there first. Other places like your local grocery store, or a farmer’s market are great options as well.

These are the flowers I used for my bouquet:

  • White Chrysanthemum

  • Pink Gerbera

  • Blue Hydrangea

  • Rainbow Baby’s Breath

  • Red-Yellow Tulips

  1. You’ll need a tall narrow vase. Ideally one that’s at least 10 inches tall. If you don’t already have one, explore around to find a vase you like for this! I bought mine from HomeGoods . Try looking around Target, Bachman’s, or a local thrift store too!

  2. Put it all together! I started with filling my vase with water, then adding the carrots. Once those were done, I cut my flowers to the length of the vase and arranged them how I liked.

And, Wallah! A beautiful floral centerpiece for your Easter dining table. This makes such a simple statement by including the carrots in this bouquet. It balances out the look of the vase by having the beautiful orange color on the bottom, and blooming flowers on top. I loved making this one, and my guests loved it as well. I can’t wait for you to try making it yourself!
